Don't worry about that. Just tell 'em it 's cool nowadays to use english terms and that you 're heavy on wire.

All I do is watching American shows and reading books in their origin.
For me, It's sometimes hard to think of a german word because the english one is all I can think of. |

@Guddo:
Oh yeah, that's a prob Ah know sometimes, too. ![]() @Kami: Yeah, the uprising of "denglish". ![]() Concerning myself, Ah think Ah've read to many english comics in my youth. My english 's a little bit sloppy. Ah use many american terms in ma articulation. ![]() And ma fav'rite vocabs differ a little from yours... .

I went to an international school for two years in the UK (so basically I lived in the Uk for two years) so my english should be somewhat near perfect but over the last couple of years I lost quite a bit of the various vocab I used to have.
![]() That's such a shame. Eglish books and movies are a good opportunity to keep the language running.

Last week i ordered a english book. "Brave new World", written by Vintage Huxley.
It was delivered on Friday, but to be honest, i didn't read any Page yet. Not because i am lazy, i just have no time left right now. |

Oh yes, that of course. And reading comics, as I mentoined already.
![]() In fact, some books aren't translated into german, so the only opportunity is reading them in english. ![]() Like ma favorite, "If I did it", by O.J. Simpson... . ![]() The prob in hand is, that ma business english has gotten a little rusty over the years... . Ah think Ah'll have to sit down and learn it from scratch, if it'll ever be necessary again.

Yes, there is a movie. I think most people only know the movie.
The problem about the book is that the people talk in a strange slang mixed with other languages. For example: instead of "milk" they say "moloko". And with too many words like these I had many problems to understand the text really good. After reading that book we also watched the movie
